Fantastic late 1940s to early 1950s vintage day dress and jacket set from Marshall Field's. Made of red-orange and ivory houndstooth wool. Jacket features crossover button front, cropped length sleeves and it is lined in white taffeta. Dress is sleeveless with buttoned bodice, decorative waist tie and side metal zipper. There is a little bit of elastic on the back side of the waist giving a slight stretch. Dress is not lined. Both pieces are in very good condition, only issues to be found are a little spotting on the jacket lining, an old mend to the lining armpit and a tiny bit of fray at the hook/eye on the front of the jacket. See all in last photo.
